60-Second Manicure Rescue

We've all been there. You get a fresh mani that looks amazing for a couple of days...

At-home manicure, Day Two

...but eventually, the chips sneak in and destroy everything:
Day Seven: Still not terrible for a week, but it's time for it to go!

What's a gal to do when you have an important date or meeting and need to whip those nails into shape, but don't have time for a full manicure? It's time to unleash the 60-Second Manicure Rescue!

We TSN gals have never met a glitter manicure that we didn't love (in fact, throwing some glitter on something is basically our version of duct tape), so grab your favorite glitter polish (one with a fine-point brush is best) and wave goodbye to those nasty chips!

First, take your original polish and fill in the chipped areas (in a pinch, this step can be eliminated and you can jump right to the glitter, but it's helpful to have a color base to fill in the gaps):

Not the prettiest, but you're laying the groundwork for the glitter fix.
Next, take your glitter polish and paint a line of glitter over the previously-chipped area that you just filled in with the original polish (or directly over the chipped area, if you opted to skip the previous step). It's basically a French manicure with a fancy twist:

The glitter tip camouflages the chipped area.
Just like that, you're done! Your nails have been repaired and no one would ever guess that you've had this polish on for several days and that all of the edges had chipped off. This will buy you at least a few more days worth of polish, so it's a great way to extend your time in between manicures (and there's nothing wrong with some bonus sparkle!).

What are some of your favorite quick beauty fixes?
