Product Love: Deborah Lippmann Staccato Nail Polish Collection

Staccato collection: Rockin' Robin, Polka Dots & Moonbeams, I'm Not Edible
Nail polish that looks like our favorite ice cream flavors...what's not to love? Textured nails are popping up all over this summer, and these subtle glitter polishes are the perfect way to embrace this trend.

Being a cookies and creme ice cream lover, I had to try out Deb's play on this flavor.

Polka Dots & Moonbeams

While applying my first coat, I was immediately impressed with how creamy this polish is. It is packed with tiny black glitter dots that give the effect of ice cream sprinkles, and the shininess of the black sparkles is a very nice contrast to the satiny white background.

My favorite thing about this polish is how well it layers. When I applied my second coat, the glitter from the first coat peeked through the whiteness, which added layers of texture to the polish. The brightness of the glitter in the second coat layered on top of the muted glitter from the first coat added depth to the overall nail look.

My first ice cream mani
Overall, this polish is definitely a winner! I really like the neutrality of this white/black polish because it allows the layered textures to shine through, but I'm sure the mint green and pink polishes are very pretty as well. I received many compliments on this polish, and was very pleased with how it help up after several days. It's a great look for a night out with the girls, but is subtle enough to wear to the office.

Are you onboard with textured nails? Which of the ice cream polishes do you want to try first?

  1. Love them all!! I'm a glitter polish fan from waaaayyy back, but these are a modern, sophisticated change from the full disco ball look (which I also still enjoy, haha)!

    1. Oh, so do we! I'd love to wear full-on glitz polish every day, but this one is a nice work-appropriate compromise for weekdays.
