Signature Cocktail: The Wedding-tini

Hey Gals!!  As B mentioned in her previous post, this Friday marks my 5 year wedding anniversary with Grill Guy!!  I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by – it really seems like just yesterday I was torturing enlisting B to help with all of my crazy wedding planning and crafting (just kidding.. we both loved every second of it!!)

One of the more fun projects I did was creating a signature cocktail!  As B mentioned, this was pre-pinterest (ugh.. just typing that out makes me feel very old, and how on earth did we all get by without it?!) so I’m proud to say I dreamed up this concoction all on my own!
Sneak preview at my bachelorette extravagant-za!
It was right around the time that a lot of the vodka companies were starting to expand their flavor palettes and I had just discovered how delicious espresso vodka was.  So that became my main inspiration, and I played around a bit until I found the perfect combination of flavors (definitely one of the more fun pre-wedding tasks I had on my plate!) and my wedding-tini was born.  Not the most creative of names, but I promise that the taste more than makes up for it!

Of course it had to have a custom sign to go along with it!
I definitely recommend doing a little teaser of the cocktail at some of your pre-wedding events.  We served this up at both my shower and bachelorette, so by the time the wedding came, my guests were more than excited to get another taste of the “famous” wedding-tini!!   In fact, these were such a huge hit at the wedding that my friends and family often request the wedding-tini at holidays and family events (and luckily FIL Grill Guy is very well versed with recipe and always ready to shake one up!).
Tearing into some shower gifts - thank god I had my wedding-tini to help me power through it!
Recipe:
1 part espresso vodka (our go-to is Van Gogh Espresso Vodka)
1 part vanilla vodka
1 part Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 part Godiva chocolate liqueur

Did you feature a signature cocktail at your wedding?  I’m always up for trying out something new, so please share your delicious recipes with us!

  2. Sounds delicious! Happy anniversary! We didn't feature a drink at our wedding because it was pretty casual. We were able to bring in our own alcohol so we brought different wines and a couple beers. :)

  3. Holy cheese balls this sounds amazing!! I wish I was more adventurous in buying different liquors. haha. Everything is so expensive!! This one I'm probably going to go for, however. Because I can think of a million drinks I can make with these. Great recipe, as always. Cheers!!! And thanks for linking up!! Happy Anniversary!
