Five on Friday {July 4, 2014}

Happy Friday Gals and Happy 4th of July!!!  Hopefully you are all off enjoying this fantastic long weekend.  I’ll be off getting a little sun myself, but not without first diving into the 5 things I’m obsessed with this week!

ONE | Baby M for (Product)RED!!

A couple months back I mentioned that Baby M was selected to be a part of a photo shoot for Aden+Anais, and his first campaign is now out!  And as if it’s not exciting enough, he’s a part of their newly launched partnership to benefit(Product)RED, which is an amazing cause that helps in the fight of HIV and AIDS. The bibs that he’s modeling are amazingly soft, and come in 3 great prints, and the best part is that every purchase provides up to 5 days of life-saving medicine to help prevent a mother living with HIV from passing the virus to her baby.  I highly recommend you check out all of their great(RED) products and join Baby M in supporting this great cause!

TWO | Chalk board wall

My house recently flooded, causing damage to my beloved craft room and also forcing it to be out of commission while our whole downstairs get repaired.  Finally the final coats of paint were applied this past week, and the craft room is officially back in action.  And not only is it back, but it’s better than ever thanks to the addition of a chalkboard wall!  I figure when life hands you lemons, why not turn them into a chalkboard wall!  I’m already in complete love with this crafty new addition and also can’t wait for all of the fun Baby M is going to have with this once he’s a little older!

THREE | Joann craft haul

I had the best craft haul at Joann this past week, so allow me to gush a bit on my extreme couponing (looks like this Q3 resolution is shaping up to be a good one!)!!  Joann was having a huge paper sale, so I was so excited to snatch up a bunch of glitzy papers.  Originally 0.99 each, they were on sale for 0.25, but I realized once I checked out that some were reduced even further to 0.20 each, PLUS I was able to use a 20% off coupon on my entire order!  So in total, I walked away with 40 sheets of glitter paper (that I’ll obviously find some way to use since you can never have enough glitter paper!) that retailed for $40 and I only paid $7.60!

FOUR | New fave maxi dress

I love a good maxi dress, and have been obsessed with this one I recently picked up from J. Crew.  It’s the perfect length, which isn’t always easy to find for us short gals, and is super soft with just the right cut.  I love how simple it is, since it works for a variety of occasions, while still having a little fun detail with the slits on both sides of the bottom (which also helps keep you cool!).

FIVE | Happy 4th of July

And last but not least, Happy 4th of July!!!  I hope all of you Gals have a nice long weekend planned.  I’m headed to the beach for a little sun, so let’s hope the weather cooperates and the North East doesn’t get hit too hard from this Hurricane that’s said to headed up the coast!  In case you are still in search of a little inspiration for a last minute bbq, check out our Star-Spangled Party Planner from last yearParty PlannerDessert Table4th of July PrintablesPatriotic CocktailsParty Decor, Perfect Party OutfitFireworks Mixy, and BBQ Menu!
