Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

Just when we thought we had worked our way through the entire repertoire of pumpkin adult beverages, this milkshake walked in our lives and things will never be the same. Trust us, you'll want to save some room for this dessert!

This creamy ice cream treat is a fantastic alternative to pumpkin pie for a Thanksgiving dessert, and everyone at your table will be grateful if you sneak in an extra slug or two of bourbon (we promise we won't tell your crazy aunt).

Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes
(Adapted from How Sweet It Is)

Ingredients
* 2 cups vanilla ice cream
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/4 cup half and half
* 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
* 2/3 cup pumpkin
* 1/2 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
* 1/3 cup crushed graham crackers
* 3 oz. bourbon
* 1 tsp. cinnamon
* Vanilla frosting and festive sprinkles for glass rim (optional)

1) Lightly spread vanilla frosting around the rims of the glasses, then dip in sprinkles. Set aside.

2) Blend remaining ingredients (except cinnamon) until fully mixed.

3) Pour in glasses, then sprinkle cinnamon on top.

What are you waiting for? Dig into that sweetness! And you know which activity goes well with slurping up this delish milkshake? Writing out holiday cards, of course! Make sure you sign up for our holiday card swap to join in the fun!

  12. My husband was just asking me tonight why I never make fancy drinks at home (I'm a bartender), and I told him A) drinks taste better when someone else makes them for you, and B) we don't agree on the same type of cocktails. BUT THIS is something we could both get down to!!
