Craft It: Glitzy Snowflake Holiday Decór

Happy December Gals! Now that Thanksgiving is over, we're in full on holiday mode here at TSN! I recently visited one of my favorite stores, Dollar Tree, and their selection of holiday decor was just too good to be true.  I literally filled an entire cart worth of holiday goods with everything from fancy striped straws, to ornaments, to adorable santa socks.

One of my great finds were these huge hanging snowflakes - perfect to spruce up my home bar and make it a little more festive.  While I absolutely love them, I decided to incorporate the number 1 blogger rule and add some glitter!  This turned into a super simple DIY with fabulously glitzy results!  And don't worry if you don't fancy yourself a crafter - this seriously was so easy that I almost feel silly calling it a DIY!

Supplies:
Plastic Snowflakes
Glitter
Spray Glue

First, spray your entire snowflake with plenty of spray glue.  I recommend doing this outside and also laying down a protective cover since the glue does spray everywhere!

Next, my very favorite step - mixup a bunch of your favorite glitters!

I chose a variety of glitter sizes

And textures
In shades of silver, gold and icy white

Then, sprinkle liberally all over your snowflake

I opted to leave the edges mostly bare, with just a small touch of glitter, and I love the way it turned out!

It really is that simple, and the results are a beautiful, glitzy snowflake that cost me only a dollar!

I ended up hanging two over my wine racks, and I love how they instantly make it now feel festive and fun!

And I promise they are even glitzier in person - unfortunately my camera just couldn't handle all of that glitter goodness!

What is your favorite thing to add glitter to? Please share all of your fun holiday projects since I'm not ready to pack away my glitter just yet!

Linking up with Meg, LeeannKimberlee, and Molly!
