Monthly Cocktail Link-up + The Rosemary Lemon Fizz

Hey Gals! We could not be more thrilled to kick-off our monthly cocktail link-up with you all today! There's not much we love more than a good cocktail (well.. maybe nail polish, glitter and Michael BublĂ©, but we'll save those for another day!). We have so much fun concocting all sorts of fun and delicious drink recipes, so we thought what could be better than combining that with a link-up so we could also discover all of your fun and delicious recipes!

For our big kick-off recipe, we decided to lighten things up a bit for the new year..

A bit of a detox cocktail some might say... that is of course, if you consider vodka and prosecco to be detoxing.. hey, sounds good to us!

The lemon makes this oh so refreshing, while the rosemary lends an herbaceous quality, keeping it more with the season, versus a summery cocktail.

And let's not forget the prosecco!

The perfect topper to give this gal just a kick of effervescence.

Rosemary Lemon Fizz:
2 oz. citron vodka
2 oz. rosemary-lemon simple syrup (recipe below)
Prosecco to taste (we used a healthy pour, topping off our glass)
Garnish: a sprig of rosemary

Fill a highball glass to the top with ice, then add the vodka and simple syrup. Give a little stir, then top with prosecco. If you're feeling extra fancy, go ahead and throw in a sprig of rosemary.  Cheers!

Rosemary-Lemon Simple Syrup:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
1 lemon, cut into 4 halves
1 sprig of rosemary

Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.  Discard the lemon wedges and rosemary and allow to cool completely before using.
