February Monthly Cocktail Link-up + Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini

Hey Gals! Thanks for stopping by for our monthly cocktail link-up and hopefully you’ll join the party and share your favorite cocktail recipe below! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we were inspired to create a Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini to spark a little romance with that special someone in your life.  And even if you aren’t a Valentines fan, or are planning a GALentines Day instead, this cocktail is an equal opportunity sort of gal, and the perfect sweet treat no matter what the occasion.

Truthfully, what really inspired this cocktail was this bottle of Absolut Cherrys – I mean, come on!  Those polka dots were just too cute to pass up, and then once we added in a little dark chocolate, we knew we were onto something!
Surprisingly, this cocktail isn’t overly sweet, so even if dessert martinis aren’t your thing, don’t be afraid to give this one a shot!

2 parts Absolut Cherrys Vodka
1.5 parts Chocolate Covered Cherry Baileys
.5 parts Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur

Optional Garnish:
Chocolate Syrup
Edible Heart sprinkles

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice

A little bit of cherry vodka

Then the Baileys – did you know that Baileys made a chocolate cherry version!? This was news to us also, but YES!

And then the dark chocolate Godiva – a little indulgence never hurt anyone!

And you know we love a garnished glass, so go ahead and dip your martini glass in a little chocolate syrup

Then dip into some edible heart sprinkles, or whatever sprinkles you may have on hand

Yes, this step is a little extra work, but trust us, you’re worth it!

Lastly, put on your very favorite red lipstick, then shake, strain and sip generously!

Absolut(e) (sorry, I couldn’t resist)decadence in a glass!
