I'm always happy when Friday rolls around, but this one is particularly sweet since I'm off from work today and starting my three-day weekend! If you're wondering why I happen to be off on this random Friday, let's jump right into #1 of the five things I'm loving this week...
My Millionaire episode
A year has passed since filming, but my episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is finally airing today. I am slightly terrified to see how I look and sound on TV (and I'm kind of cringing when I remember a few of the things I said on camera that might make it to the final episode), so luckily I'll be watching the show with my parents and T. I can't wait to finally share the full behind-the-scenes scoop with you now that the episode is (almost) no longer a secret!
Pitch Perfect 2
What better way to kick off a three-day weekend than by hanging out with the Barden Bellas? Last night, T and I attended the "midnight" (aka 10pm) release of Pitch Perfect 2 (and I just so happen to be writing this post immediately after, so I'm still riding that a cappella high!). As a former college a cappella gal, this series holds a special place in my heart, and I'm happy to say that the sequel is just as much fun as the first movie. I don't want to say too much and give anything away, but the final performance sequence is pretty insane!
LazyBonezz Happy-Yappy Hour
But actually, my weekend started even before Pitch Perfect 2 because I got to meet up with Pamela for a happy hour hosted by LazyBonezz, which is known for its fashion-forward pet accessories.
They have all sorts of glitzy collars, dog beds, and more so if you're looking to glam up your pet's accessories, check them out!
Music video shoot
My dear friend J is no stranger to this blog (remember his fierce spin on gift recommendations for your guy?) and he also happens to be a super-talented songwriter. Earlier this week, a bunch of us packed into a Soho loft to film an epic dance party to be used in J's upcoming music video (hence the big group selfie above). There was a lot of jumping around and fist pumping and I can't wait to see the final product!
The Girl on the Train
I finally jumped on the bandwagon (or I guess in this case, the train) and devoured The Girl on the Train in less than 24 hours. It was suspenseful and gripping, and I highly recommend it if you (like me) tend to gravitate towards darker reads.
I hope you all enjoy your weekends, especially now that we are halfway to June!
