May Monthly Cocktail Link Up + Frozen Watermelon Margarita Recipe

Hey Gals! Cinco de Mayo may have been last week, but margarita season is just getting started and we could not be more excited!  We don't discriminate with our margies, whether on the rocks, classic lime, or fruity and frozen.

After getting so much great feedback on our Watermelon Martini recipe from last year, we thought we'd combine two of our loves into one delicious cocktail with our Frozen Watermelon Margarita. The best part about this frosty treat is that it could not be simpler to make.

We start with our beloved Skinnygirl Margarita mix - fill a low ball glass up 2/3 of the way. Feel free to let the mug chill in the freezer for a couple of minutes for extra icy goodness!

Top with a splash of tequila (or more, if you're feeling saucy!), then fill the rest of the glass with cubed up frozen watermelon - check out our tips for getting the perfect frozen fruit purees here

Pour the contents of your glass into a blender (we love using the single serve cups from Ninja blender!) and puree until completely blended

Pour back into your original glass (feel free to add a salt rim like we did!) and enjoy!

We love the ease of using the Skinnygirl mix but you can also go the completely fresh route if you don't have any on hand (though we recommend stocking up for the season!) - if you are looking for a great base margarita recipe, check out this fantastic one from Pamela.

Now it's your turn! Share your favorite cocktail recipe - old or new! And we're not much sticklers here, so feel free to take little creative license - wine, beer, mocktails, glassware.. we love it all!
