Crafter in Training

Hey Gals! It's no secret that we love our crafts around here, and it seems like Little M is quickly following in his mama's footsteps. {Warning} - Picture heavy post ahead! Seeing my little man in action was too much for this proud mom to handle and I could not stop taking pictures!

Right at home at the craft table
He loves hanging out down in the craft room with me, always looking to get his hands on all of the crafty goodness.

Carefully selecting his next marker
I've been looking for ways to make the craft room more kid friendly, so when Delta Children reached out wanting to send one of their new chalkboard easels, I jumped at the chance! I knew he'd love it immediately, but even more so once I realized it was a Mickey Mouse easel!

To say this kid loves Mickey is an understatement - he refuses to go to bed without his little Mickey stuffed animals, is always requesting him on tv, and will drop everything he's doing to dance along to the hot dog song (parents of toddlers, you know what I'm talking about!).

The Disney Wooden Double Sided Easel With Storage is constructed of sturdy wood in beautiful bright colors, with one side as a chalkboard, and the other as a magnetic white board.

There are also two storage containers underneath which quickly became filled up - Little M loves to tuck away all of his "hidden treasure".

I recently took a couple days off of work to spend with my number one little man and while I was excited to have lots of outdoor summer fun together, of course it had to rain one of the days. Luckily the easel had just arrived, so we hunkered down in the craft room where Little M had a blast playing for hours.

He's already accustomed to writing on a chalk board from the big chalkboard wall we have in the craft room, but he was all too excited to use the special MICKEY chalkboard.

That little tongue out kills me - such determination!
I can't even tell you how much it pulls at the heartstrings to see my little crafter at work.

He's clearly a natural...

Double fisting the chalk like a boss
He also had lots of fun with the magnetic side -

The easel came with alphabet letters and a magnetic mickey puzzle, so he had a blast arranging them all over the place..

As well as on the floor...

And in the underneath storage!

If you're looking for a fun new activity center for your little ones, I definitely recommend this easel. It's provided countless hours of entertainment for Little M, while having quality fun time together in the craft room.

The easel retails for $60 and can be purchased from Amazon.

*Disclosure: Delta Children provided me the easel for review, but all opinions are 100% my own.

  12. Little M totally has Mama M's eyes!! An easel was my favorite thing playing with for years and we'd of course argue over who was going to use the chalkboard side versus the paper side each time. Letting kids' imaginations run wild is so fun and so important :)

So much so that Aunt Nadine and Uncle Chris know the hot dog...and every other song...on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all too well.
