Opening Lines: Real Housewives of Atlanta {Season 8} + Giveaway!

Hey Gals - Before we jump into all of the housewife goodness, I just want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind words and prayers for my grandfather. It truly meant so much and I feel so lucky to be a part of such an an amazing blogging community! And another shout out to my amazing co-blogger (and bff for life) for all of her support and for keeping it business as usual around her while I took a little bloggy break to spend time with my family!

Ok, now onto the fun stuff - The Real Housewives of Atlanta are back for their eighth season and with that brings a whole new round of signature tag lines! I know I'm a little late in getting this up, but it just wouldn't be a new housewives season without our very official tag line round up, so better late than never! So without further adieu, let's dig into the Taglines!

Phaedra: “Only God can judge me, and he seems quite impressed.”

My take on it: This is so Phaedra that I kind of love it! I mean, I have no clue what she's basing Gods high opinion of her on, but sure I'll go with it. And after the tough season she had last year with all of the Apollo drama, I'm hoping this tag line is an indication of the sassy and fun Phaedra from seasons past.

Kim: “Faith, family and career — those are the facts of my life.“

Welcome to RHoA Tootie! I can't really say I'm excited by the addition of her to the cast (Sheree on the other hand...) but I'm a fan of this tag line! I think the Facts of Life callback is funny and since I'm pretty sure it's the biggest thing on her resume, she may as well use it!

Cynthia: “Seasons may change, but Cynthia Bailey never goes out of style.

I'm sorry but I just flat out hate this one! This caused a big divide in the M household since it was GG's favorite (umm, just no!) but it's just awful in my opinion. Though I do think it's classic Cynthia, who has never been one of my favorite ATL gals, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Dud tag line for a dud housewife!

Porsha: “I’m about to give you life, so stay out of my way!”

And now we have complete nonsense from Porsha... seriously what does this line even mean?! I really have no words for this one.. I don't think I've been this baffled by a tag line since Sonja went commando!

Kandi: “I’m a hitmaker, and this year I will reveal the best one.”

Sorry Kandi, but I have to give this one a big thumbs down! We get it, you're pregnant - which is awesome for you and Todd and all, but isn't this kind of a dig to her first daughter, Riley?! And come on, let's be real.. No Scrubs has been and will always be her greatest hit (sorry baby Kandi...)!

Kenya: “Don’t come for me, unless I twirl for you.”

And last but not least we have our weekly dose of crazy with Miss Kenya! I have to say, I actually love this one! The whole twirl nonsense cracks me up (Gone with the Wind fabulous music video included!) so I think this is a perfect fit for Kenya.

And can I just close things out by saying how devastated I am that She by Sheree is not an official housewife and therefore does not have a tag line!!! Insert all the cry face emojis! Seriously Bravo, why tease me like this and only bring her back in a limited capacity?! You know she's sure to bring plenty of drama plus girlfriend could sure use the paycheck to help fund Chateau Sheree, so give this gal her peach back!!!

What does everyone think of this seasons tag lines?! Who are your favorites and who's do you hate? And is anyone else out there as sad about Sheree as I am?!?

  6. RHOA is my least favorite city, but I still watch...because OH the drama. I can't deal with Phaedra, she makes me laugh but she is OUT there. I am bummed Sheree isn't a main lady & Cynthia REALLY needs to do something with Peter. This season should be interesting!

  10. Porsha is a hot mess. Her tag line is stupid and so is just about everything else about her. She is SO over the top, especially with her new boo. It's just weird.
    I like Kandi's tagline--I think it's cute since she's pregnant.

  11. Kandi's tag line is just kind of mean, you can't say that about baby number two!!! I don't get porsha's either... scratching head. I am gonna go do a drive by at Chateau Sheree and report back, it's close to me. If I see her I will ask her wtf??? We need more Sheree!!!

  14. I totally thought the same thing re: Candy and kind of inadvertently dissing her daughter with that intro statement. That was kind of weird.

I LOVE Sheree.... Though really ONLY for the drama factor. But seriously when is her chateau going to be finished? LOL
